The "rip-off Britain" slogan is a very powerful one, and it's put retailers under close scrutiny and heavy pressure. At the same time, new retail concepts have flourished, providing the disgruntled consumer with alternative ways to get better value for money.

Low cost airlines are bringing down the cost of international travel. And of course, the Internet, is breaking down international barriers, spreading price awareness and giving consumers the opportunity to get together to drive down prices - and in some cases, even name their own prices - Money Off Grocery Coupon!

The rules of the game are changing, and they're changing in favour of the consumer. More information and more choices lead to lower prices in general, and that's what we're seeing now.
